Just having some interest in the computer networking alone is not sufficient to get into the Cisco boot camps You should already have some knowledge in networking and some experience in that too. But before you select an institution make sure that the staffs who teach them have the relevant experience in that field so that you get the relevant knowledge from them. For most of the courses conducted in the Cisco boot camps the candidate is required to have the basic knowledge in networking. For example in Cisco boot camps for Firewall Specialists, the candidates are expected to have some experience and knowledge in basic network security, encryption technologies, and TCP/IP. Apart from that a candidate who wishes to have a Firewall Specialist certification should also have a valid CCNA certification. Such Cisco boot camps would also expect the students to have some exposure to security devices from Cisco too.
